Chapter 2

Ancient Era (5000 BCE – 1000 BCE)

• The Rise of Kumari Kandam: The vast landmass of Kumari Kandam emerges as the cradle of early human civilization. Advanced societies flourish, ruled by the Chera, Chola, and Pandya dynasties. These kingdoms possess deep knowledge of cosmic energies and supernatural forces.
• The Age of Mysticism: The kings and sages of Kumari Kandam harness the powers of the natural world and the universe. Temples are constructed on ley lines, capturing the mystical energy of the earth. The Cosmic Oracle, an artifact created from the convergence of realms, is revered as a source of unimaginable power.

1000 BCE – 500 CE

Inter-Dynasty Wars: Rivalries between the Cheras, Cholas, and Pandyas escalate. Each seeks to dominate the island and access the secrets of the Cosmic Oracle. The wars strain the magical fabric of Kumari, weakening the connection to its supernatural power.
• The Great Cosmic Shift: A major cosmic event—stars realign, and the island’s energy begins to wane. The ancient magic starts fading, and the balance between realms starts to fracture. The island’s once-vibrant cities begin to crumble.

500 CE – 1300 CE

• The Decline of Kumari Kandam: Over centuries, the ancient powers diminish, and parts of the island sink beneath the ocean. The kingdoms of Chera, Chola, and Pandya continue to fight, but their wars are now more political than mystical. However, the Pandyas secretly safeguard the last remaining powers of the island, hiding them in deep underground temples.
• The Knowledge Lost: As the supernatural forces are buried, the wisdom and spiritual knowledge of Kumari Kandam are lost to time. The once-great kingdom fades into legend.

1300 CE – 1600 CE

• The Arrival of the Mughals: The Mughal Empire extends its influence over the southern kingdoms. Unaware of Kumari Kandam’s mystical past, they attempt to conquer the southern regions. During their expansion, they discover the island’s ley lines and remnants of the Cosmic Oracle, sparking a new interest in the ancient knowledge.
• Mystical Encounters: Some Mughal explorers report strange phenomena—visions, unnatural occurrences, and inexplicable energies—while digging in the ruins. They unknowingly disturb the sleeping supernatural forces of the island.

1700 CE – 1800 CE

• The Submergence of Kumari Kandam: A massive cataclysm causes most of the island to sink beneath the ocean, lost to history. Only fragments of the ancient culture remain in the southern parts of India and through oral traditions. Kumari Kandam is believed to be a myth by the modern world.
